Assisted Lymphatic Therapy in Chattanooga, TN
Balance your immune system and enhance your natural detoxification with Assisted Lymphatic Therapy (ALT). ALT is a relaxing experience that uses a gentle, non-invasive technique used to decongest and stimulate the proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system partners with our immune system to send healthy, oxygenated, and nutrient-filled cells to fight off any viruses or inflammation found in the body. When the lymphatic system is congested and not functioning properly, it can result in a buildup of toxins, inflammation, a compromised immune system, and slower healing.
Each session with the XP2 (the machine used to perform your therapy) has the equivalent effect of eight to ten manual lymphatic massages. The Lymph Drainage XP2’s technology uses specific high frequencies of electricity and sound to break up that congestion, improve lymphatic flow, and restore proper function of the lymphatic system.
How ALT Works
ALT is performed with a machine (called the XP2) that works by using two wands that are passed slowly over the body, breaking down congested lymph through a combination of vibration, light and electrical waves. Once the congested lymph has been broken down, it can be drained, waste can be eliminated and the free flow of lymph can resume. Not only does ALT feel like a light touch massage, many clients notice positive results after 1-2 sessions.
Your Lymphatic System
The lymphatic system plays a very important role in our immune system and is a complex system of vessels, lymph nodes and organs that work together to transport fluid throughout the body. This system delivers nutrients, removes waste, and is essential for proper immune function. Lymphatic fluid transports white blood cells to where they are needed to attack and fight infection. Lymph nodes act as filters and trap bacteria, viruses, and other substances The lymphatic system is only stimulated through movement or manually. Unlike the heart that pumps without assistance, the lymphatic system has no circulatory system internally and the proper assistance of flow is a must for overall health and crucial for overcoming infection and disease in the body. Impairment of the lymphatic system will lead to excess toxicity, inflammation, fluid accumulation, immune system weakness and delayed healing from injuries or surgery. ALT will help decongest that stagnant lymphatic fluid, helping you release toxins, decrease inflammation, relieve stress, improve blood flow, and help reduce chronic pain.
Each session with the XP2 machine is the equivalent effect of 8-10 manual lymphatic drainage massages, and the client is left feeling calm and rejuvenated.
According to new research, 80% of overweight men and women have sluggish lymphatic systems.
Because congested lymph fluid “sticks” to fat cells, many experts believe that a lazy lymphatic system is directly connected to the formation of cellulite.
ALT Preparation
In preparation for your Assisted Lymphatic Therapy treatment, please come to your appointment without any body lotion or deodorant on (natural deodorant is fine), with DRY hair, and well hydrated. Meet Jenny
After struggling with the effects of an autoimmune disease, Jenny found ways to improve her health through lifestyle changes, red light saunas, assisted lymphatic therapy, dietary adjustments, and other holistic therapies. Jenny was fascinated to discover how incorporating functional treatments into her routine could positively impact the body and enhance everyday living.
With an associates degree in applied science, 16 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and her personal autoimmune journey, Jenny realized the importance of the lymphatic system in detoxing and maintaining overall health. This discovery, aligned with her passion for holistic wellness, inspired Jenny to pursue further education. Jenny received training from Rightway Health and Wellness, furthering her knowledge and expertise in promoting full body wellness. Jenny currently practices as a certified lymphatic therapist in Chattanooga TN.
In her free time, Jenny enjoys spending quality time with her son, cooking, hiking, hosting gatherings, and indulging in all things matcha.
Your Therapy Experience
In your session, you will be draped in soft linen while lying comfortably on a massage table. The room will be softly lit, with soothing music playing in the background to create a calming atmosphere. Jenny will use two wands that glide gently over your skin, applying light pressure to address areas of congestion and inflammation. This gentle touch will be as relaxing and pleasant as a regular massage. A Biomat and Redlight therapy will be used during your treatment to amplify your ALT session. The Phymat Acada biomat uses a combination of far infrared rays and negative ions, and the conductive properties of natural turquoise, amethyst and tourmaline stone. This is great to relieve fatigue and improve sleep, relax your muscles and relieve minor muscle spasms. The Redlight therapy uses red and near infrared light to promote healing and cell repair, support detoxification, reduce inflammation and improve blood circulation. Following your session, you will be offered a refreshing beverage to help replenish electrolytes.
“I highly recommend Jenny for ALT! She has an excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable about lymphatics and holistic healing. ALT is great for decreasing inflammation and improving overall well-being and I am so thankful for Jenny’s work! 10/10!!”
